Door knobs used for locking from inside are referred to as privacy knobs which are generally used in bedrooms and bathrooms. Keyed door knobs are suitable for the main entrance area like the front doors, as they provide security to your properties due to their safety characteristic; it is locked from the exterior/ outer area. Whereas the locking system for passage doors are constructed simple as they are not intended for security. Finally, the sophisticated commercial door systems are designed for more structured residential purposes or large luxury houses or villas.
